Cha cha cha Changes
Simply put, it has not been a good summer, hence the silence here. I could list it all out, but really, I’d like to move past it all and instead, dream of flying

Olympic ceremonies

Rachel Papo
Rachel Papo’s photographs have been festering in my brain the past few days, espcially serialno3817131. The images are intimate and haunting and beautiful for the slice of lives they capture. Yes, the girls are soliders, but in they are also girls, still coming to terms with themselves.

Time Magazine has their photos of the year up, but they’re in two categories this year (don’t know if they did this last year),
Reader picks and
Editor picks.
The difference in subject matter is startling. The viewer’s choice is much more upbeat. Not surprising, but the side by side comparsion is amazing, as if the reader’s and editor’s are living in two separate worlds.
