Help yourself to the music buffet.
Installed the Mperia player over there to your left. Press play to get a selection of tracks, though the length of the preview track is determined by the artist. Click to buy the track. No, I don’t get a kickback, dammit.

Comics links and notes
First, there’s a blog series from the occasional super-heroine titled Goodbye to Comics. It is the human equivalent of a mad dog on the loose, if that mad dog happened to be quiet woman who’s grown up with and worked in superhero comics and finally cracked up about it.
In other news, Dave Cockrum died. Don’t know him? Oh, he just created most of the X-men, that’s all. when I was younger I never thought much of his art, but now I see he was quite skilled and talented and came from a generation of comic book artist that produced a lot of stuff. A brief look at his career is over at silverbulletcomics.
There’s an example of his work from Uncanny X-men #107, in the extended entry (800k, 1260px wide)

Counting votes
Below the fold are screenshots of elections graphs by various news sites or blogs. It’s surprising how fancy doesn’t mean easy to read and the absolute best counter is surprising low tech.

mmmm, elections
Yay, yay it’s election day here in the states, though I’m sick as a dog. Evidently there is only so much hot sauce my body can stand, so it was a half day of work and then feet up on the couch.
I don’t have much to say about the elections other than I hope Democrats win SOMETHING, just so the craziness gets slowed down. And to all these people saying there’s do difference between either party, I betcha if Al Gore had been President we would not have been in Iraq. Anyone suggesting it would have been mocked outta (insert your own personal super holy space here).
Oh, and Sara Robinson has a nice (and long!) piece on liberalism and the vision thing. A bit flowery and dramatic at times, but does a good job of laying out where the politics of this country have been and maybe where they can go.

Beautiful art
Stop what you’re doing RIGHT NOW. No, seriously, STOP IT. Go look at Jason Turner’s art and fall in love.
and while you’re at it, stop by S. Blake’s site for more gorgeous goodness.
